There is a problem with my statement however. According to the
documentation, my Fido Dollars should be printed on page 1. It isn't printed
anywhere on my bill. Fido's bill would be perfect if they added the Fido
Dollars and showed the actual numbers of the incoming calls.

I wonder if they "fit" Fido customers onto Rogers' existing billing
system, or whether they adjusted the Rogers system to accomodate the
different features displayed on Fido bills.
It would be interesting to compare Rogers and Fido bills to see if they
contain the same information/limitations.

I know that Rogers doesn't show the phone numbers of incoming calls on their
bills (at least when I was a customer of theirs about 3 years ago, they
didn't). I don't believe that any of the cellphone providers show the phone
numbers of incoming calls on their "detailed" bills. I just think that this
would be a useful feature to have on the bill. Technology exists to do this
since the callerID information is displayed on the handset when you
subscribe to callerID. My VOIP provider provides the incoming phone numbers
on my online bill so I'm sure that it is do-able.

If CallerID were a standard feature, Fido wouldn't have any problems
including the caller,s number in bills as well as voicemail SMS messages
since everyone was allowed to get those numbers. But because CalledID is
an option, they can't divulge caller's numbers in service sthat everyone gets.
the SMS messages we get for voicemail as so lame. You'd think that after
all those years, they would have improved this. (giving the number of
the caller and the length in seconds of the message he left. There is
nothing more annoying than getting a voice mail message and finding out
that it is just the sound of hanging up (eg: no content in the message).

Hey ! I got my invoice today.
Overall, I much prefered the look of the old one and it also had much
less paper. I don't understand why they didn't keep the "last months
balance and payments received" on the first page. Also I don't like the
Fido logo on a black background. That is really ugly.
Note that your account number has changed. They replaced the first 0
with an 8 and added a 1 at the end. However, the 4 legged furry rep told
me that if you pay by bank, the old account number still works.
Also, they mention a GPRS tax for intario. If a quebec resident travels
to toronto, his/her GPRS usage while in Ontario will not be taxed. It is
based on province of billing.

They're moderately similar (although my Fido bill was a closing
statement, not a normal bill, but I got all the "new bill format"
promotional crap too)
If I'm bored I could dummy up a Rogers bill (I'll take mine, just strip
the phone numbers and a few other details) if anyone wants to see a
sample.
