Well, it turns out that the WAP Fido is offering is useless to me, seems
they will only connect to port 80 on any host. Perhaps I'm missing something
but I can't for the life of me get the minibrowser to connect to my servers
ACTUAL port. I tried, temporarily, to move the port to 80 on my server and
low and behold it works, however for various reasons that can't be changed I
can not run my server on port 80, so I'm stuck.
So, if anyone knows how to get Fido's gateway to connect to something other
then port 80 let me know, the standard method of http://www.address.com:89
doesn't work. Thanks, TTYL

why would someone use Fido's gateway for any real purpose? It's crippled
anyway.
As for prepaid, you're stuck as no alternate gateway is allowed. But you
won't see my post anyway because you can't handle the truth :)

P.S. Monthly subscribers can use internet.fido.ca as the APN and a different
WAP gateway such as openwave, sonyericsson, waptunnel for more open access.
