i have a t39, and in the time/date menu, there is something that refers to
auto-update time zone, or something like that. just turn it off.

Thanks for the idea, but time/date are just that on this set; no auto
update.

Since the Rogers integration, my Siemens has gone nuts i updating not
teh time, but the time zone. Wake up in morning and find my phone now
thinks it it is in Kathmandu Nepal (with the time being way off , of
course). Reset it and a few days later, I am in some other world city.
Removing the auto update fixed it.
Best bet woudl be for you to call Fido and ask them if they can stop the
auto update feature on your phone or if their have plans to get Rogers
to fix the network side of the software so that it stops screwing with
people's phones.

I've reconciled myself that I will have to call them, but it's such a
teeth grinding experience!
Mine only happens after the phone has been turned off.
Thanks for the advice.
