Beep Beep Beep - why?

Twice this week, my Sony Ericson T237 Fido phone has given me 3 beeps and
disconnected a call, even though my battery is fully charged and there is a
full signal and lots of money in the pay-as-you-go account. Any ideas why
it does this?

On Ericson's, "beep beep beep" is usually a dropped call. This can happen
for a variety of reasons. Low signal strength or high network congestion
were both good reasons for this to happen when I still had Fido.

I also have had this problem with the 3 beeps and then it disconnects but
using my unlocked Treo 600 and my unlocked Treo 650. This only happens when
I call someone. After entering all the numbers/digits, I would click on the
dial button and instead of a dial/ringing tone, I would get 3 beeps and then
it would stop dialing the number. For my Treo 600 and Treo 650, I found that
turning it off and turning it back on helps with this problem. Not sure if
it is the same with your SonyEricsson phone.

No, each time it is when I've received a call and have been talking for a
few minutes. And the second time it happened, the person called me back and
it went straight to voice mail, twice, before ringing the 3rd time they
called. Most annoying and inconvenient.

That sounds EXACTLY like the network "loosing" your phone, for whatever
reason.

Welcome to cell phones. There was one place in my apartment where this
would ALWAYS occur, reception was just at the edge of being unusable.

I'ts called Rogers. Their network either has extreme congestion or
interconnect problems with the landline services that connects to the cell
sites. Get used to it or switch providers if it continues.
