I was grandfathered under the Fido unlimited data plan that no longer
exists. But just found out that they shut off my internet (in August
actually) and they want to "speak with me" about changes in my data
plan. I think we know what that means.
Has anyone had a similar experience with the grandfathered plan or are
you still surfing?

I'm still surfing with the Fido unlimited plan (with fair-use restriction).
I used it today and it still works. I haven't received a call yet from Fido.
The last time I checked, Fido defined fair use as being under 1GB per month.
I do approximately 30MB per month (Fido bill shows around 30,000 KB each
month).

I use mine for business and listening to the radio over internet, so someday
I use 30 MB.
My usage is about 20 MB a day for an eight hour period times 20 days a
month.
So about 200 MB a month.
I am using the Rogers' EDGE card, since my Fido Merlin's no longer work.
Is everybody that uses FIDO for data now using EDGE cards or Merlin's ?
