The M55 has a 4096 colour display whereas the S55 has a 256
colour display -- so pictures will look better on the M55.

The M55 lacks bluetooth connectivity whereas the S55 has it.
So with the S55 you can use those cool bluetooth headsets.

The M55 has GPRS class 8 where as the S55 has GPRS class 10
-- i.e. potentially, the S55 can work the internet faster.

The M55 has a funky keypad whereas the S55 has a
conservative looking keypad.  Frankly, I hate funky keypads
(and funky covers) which is why I stay away from Nokia phones.

Either would be a good choice.  Good luck.

I forgot to mention that the M55 also lacks an IrDA (infra
red) connection (in addition to lacking a bluetooth
connection).  This is a bit of a letdown for laptop users.
