Help with S55 e-mail client

I phoned Fido customer service, spoke with a tech.  He said that Fido has
not been able to get the S55's built-in e-mail client to connect to their
servers.  Officially, they do not support the e-mail client with the phone,
however he mentioned they work on the Sony-Ericssons.  Anyone out there with
a S55 get the e-mail client to work with a Rogers POP3 account?  I have
Rogers Hi-Speed at home and would like to check my e-mail with my Fido.
Most importantly, I would like to be able to send pictures that I have taken
with the camera attachment on my phone to friends, either via MMS (which
Fido does not support) or e-mail, and not have to download it first to my
laptop.

TIA

Cheers.

Change to Rogers wireless with an 850 mhz phone.  You will have overall
better coverage and will solve your problem.

Wow!  You truly ARE dense!  He just dished out 400$ for a phone, and it does
work the way he wants it to, all he needs is a little help, and you tell him
to switch carriers and spend even more on a phone.  Try this newsgroup,
alt.cellular.rogersatt if you want to preach the benefits of Rogers.  And,
BTW, Rogers does not yet support MMS, either.

I'll look into the email question for you, Anonymous, but if you know
someone with a T68i who has set up email, ask them for the settings as these
2 phones are almost identical in features.  I would also try CS again, as
the information is there somewhere, you probably just happened on a CSR that
was less knowledgeable in these matters.  Ask for email settings for a T68i,
if all else fails, cause I'm pretty sure the settings are very similar.

Fido doesn't support MMS?

Also, I learned the hard way that you cannot download anything larger than
3K. I tried downloading a ringtone from SE website and was told by Fido CSR
that they limit it to 3K. So, are we stuck with a phone with advanced
features we cannot use?
