I am trying to access my email over Fido on my T3.

Shaw hides their true email server POP addresses, but I know they exist.
(used to have them, but can't find them now) Can somebody assist.

When I get it fully working, I will let people know how it works

i don't think you can access shaw mail servers from outside of the shaw
network.  for example. webmail.gv.shawcable.net is one of their mail
servers, but if you try to hit it from your phone or anywhere but a
shaw-connected device it will time out.
it's why i started my own email service for myself and friends.  also
cause shaw's mail server seems to go down a lot.

In the Vancouver area, it's shawmail.vn.shawcable.net. The two
character city code varies a bit; for instance, cg is Calgary. To be
honest, I think they all go to one server anyway.

HOWEVER, it isn't going to help you. Shaw's network doesn't allow POP
from outside. If you have another email address, you can configure
your Shaw account to forward to it using Shaw's web interface. This is
what I do; shaw forwards to SpamCop, and I can pick up my (filtered)
SpamCop email anywhere.
