Yup, my guess is they are easier and cheaper to get in NA since AT&T is
ordering a crapload of them. TTYL

My god, it took them long enough to get this phone into the market....
especially just when the Z600 (the replacement model btw for the T610/T616)
was just released.

One of the main reasons is for roaming on the US.

You REALLY think "roaming in the states" is THAT important an issue for
Fido? No, the phones are cheaper because of volume. THAT is important to
Fido. Roaming in the states is a small bonus, but nowhere near a deciding
factor. TTYL

And where is your information coming from??  I have been told this by a
friend that works with testing new phones before they're released and unless
she's BS'ing me, tell me where you heard your info.

I can't give any more info on my source then what I've already said.

Because he never had any info to begin with, he's just a negative Fido
basher.

BTW, think about this: what, if YOU were Fido, would you tell your employees
for the REASON for offering a version of phone? That is makes a better
"customer experience" since you can roam more, or that it was cheaper? Think
about that from a sec, from a marketing perspective. It's not a surprise
that most employees would be told that is was for a better "customer
experience". TTYL

This is not someone that deals with the public so she hasn't be told what to
say etc.  Secondly, why wouldn't it make sense since I'm sure way more
people roam into the US than Europe Asia etc...  whatever, believe what you
want, but as far as I know, you're getting your info from a person at a Fido
kiosk selling phones..

I never said this was something Fido would tell their employees to tell
the public, I'm saying, if you were Fido, wouldn't you "leak" the "nicer"
reason? I would.

And the same to you, sometimes ignorance is bliss.

   Way off...

You should try to make up another reason. People aren't buying this one.

Hmm, saving money being the primary reason for choosing one model over
another, yup, that's REALLY hard to believe...

show me where this phone is cheaper than T610.  Also don't forget to include
the bluetooth headset that Fido is giving for the first 1500 or so
purchasers.

Not really. Just from reading through these posts in the last week, I
know you'll make up whatever inside evidence you want to support your
position.

I find no reason to believe you know what you're talking about.

I find no reason to believe this is anything other than a random guess
on your part.

And I find no reason to believe you won't have more and contradictory
"information" next week.

It isn't the opinion, it's the source.

Hehe, wow, your research is impeccable...
