Hello,
I have a chance to buy a Tungsten w from a guy who doesn't know too much
about them. I want to use it with my fido account. It comes *sim free* and
has never been activated. However, on the box it say AT&T Wireless. I am
under the impression it is indeed unlocked since it is sold new and sim
free. Can someone confirm this (kinda' ease my mind before I buy)?

Thanks very much
Richard

These units are never locked.  They are not even GPRS locked!  However, I
don't know if downloading the update to Palm OS 4.1.2 by Rogers would lock
it.  If anyone has tried the update, let us know.

Thanks!

How about using the Version 1.0 from Palm's website to flash it. Wouldn't
that wipe any manufactures locks, if indeed there were any?
