I realize that Fido has just brought out the Siemens M55, but both it
and the V60i are being offered at a good price right now. Just
wondering if anyone has a preference for one or the other. Maybe I
should just buy the M55 and test it out first and compare it to the
V60i. (by the way, the colour screen isn't really that important to
me. I am more interested in the clearity and reception on either
phone)

V60i's RF & audio qualities are comparable to P280's.

But the UI is sh.t on Motorola compared to the Siemens, voice quality and
reception on the M55 seem pretty good.

Given all the handsets I  currently have and use (I switch allot):
Siemens A56, M55, S55
Motorola V66, V60 (have a P280, but.. don't use that much)
Nokia 7210, 5100, 8390
Hiptop
SE T310, 616, P800, P900
and a couple I can't say..

I would go with the M55 hands down out of them all (well.. actually the S55,
but given price and my not needing BT the M55 is the best bet).
