I will be travelling to S. Korea (Seoul) in the near future.
Is there a specific prepaid SIM card that I can use in S. Korea that I can
pick up to send text msgs back and forth to the Microcell (fido) network in
Canada?
The reason I ask is I know that some GSM networks that have problems sending
text msgs back and forth to Fido.
Thanks,

South Korea doesn't have GSM. You have to use CDMA, which doesn't use SIM
cards. I have no idea if South Korea's CDMA networks support SMS between
countries, although obviously it's possible since North American CDMA
providers do.

There is some sort of GSM roll-out planned in S. Korea.

According to the fido website there is a cdma phone that you can plug your
sim into for roaming. However that is not what I'm looking for.
In addition I'm just looking to know if Fido to S.Korea sms msgs work
whether it be CDMA/TDMA/GSM....

However you can rent a special phone that is CDMA but will accept your SIM
and will allow you to roam using Fido's service.

And it's not much expensive to rent either... about 1.50$CDN a day.
