Merry Xmas, hope Santa was good to everybody.

MTL area - I'm hearing that the Moto V60i is out of stock at most Fido
counters. The g-friend wanted to get me one as a gift and that's the
line she got.
Can anyone confirm?

Did a Google groups on the good/bad on this model, on a scale of a
*Motorola*, is it an improvement compared to other Motos in the same
or similar price range?

Season's Greetings!

In BC, particularly Vancouver there is ample supply of the V60i.  Fido
says it is due to the launch of City Fido.  But, those in the rest of
the country will have to wait until mid to late January, at the
earliest to get the V60i.

As I understand it, the hardware and software is different thant the
previous "somewhat" problematic V60.

When you get your hands on one, try it out for 15 days and exchange it
for another model, perhaps a Siemens M55.

Season's Greetings!

Thanks for the info, the local Fido counter will have some explaining
to do then...

Currently using a Nokia 3390 with original firmware, so the V60i would
be an extra cell.

Nothing on the Fido site re: unavailability, btw:

Merry Christmas!!

I've been trying to get the V60i for about a month now, but the head
office in Montreal says they are on back-order.  However, the
retailers in the Vancouver area do or did have them in stock.   But,
unfortunately, that doesn't help me out since to get an upgrade, I
have to go through the head-office in Montreal. I have the Simens M55
and it's a really good phone; however, I still prefer the looks of the
V60i.

That's about ten minutes from me, thanks. I was going to call in the
morning.

Appreciate the info, Marco...

Salut de St - Lambert ;)

You can purchase the phone from a store and have the head office credit you.

Unfortunately, NOT - for the hardware upgrade program.  The phone MUST
be purchased through Customer Service.  Believe me, I have tried many
times.
