I'm using a Nokia 7190. Since December 24, 2003 at approximately 18h00
I've been getting an error message "number not in use" when attempting
to send txt message to the Philippines. It has worked flawlessly prior
to the above date.

Who or what is producing the error message?

What is required of the other party to send a text message to me?

they can reply you get it in ICQ or they can txt your cell
I receive fine from the Philipines I just can not send from FIDO

I have the same problem with Croatia, but it's the other way around.
However, it's not consistent.  Sometimes SMS doesn't go through to VIP net
with Fido and  ICQ no longer serves or supports VIP and I cannot send or
receive from ICQ.  Cronet is supported to send from Canada, but i can't
receive.

Thank you. But I will wait a bit longer to for the service, SMS to the
Philippines, to be restored. When I get desparate then I will consider
ICQ.

FIDO had some prob with SMS to Phillipines since the 24 but it should
be all fix pretty soon.

Here si the Alert we have at the moment (I work at the Fido Call
center):
"SMS to the Philippines have been blocked due to high traffic on the
Philippines networks."

Cheers!
