Hi all, I'm curious about how many incoming messages you can store on
your newer cell phones. On my old 3390 I can only get about 20 and would
like to get more. Thanks.

you just get a data cable. download the messages to your pc and delete them
from your phone. try oxygen phone manager.

What kind of PC-cell interface do you use, USB?

I'm still curious about how many messages cellphones hold nowadays, thanks.

Depends on the phone and the SIM.  Some phones such as the 3390 have
no memory in the phone so it's determined by the capacity of your SIM.
Since Fido uses/has used different SIMs with different capacities
(latest I think is 32K) that may make the difference on how many SMSs
you can store.
