For which proposition. First, I'm not making any assertion about FIDO. It
was a pure question.
As to Rogers, I picked up a flyer in a Rogers company store on Thursday.
The flyers starts by saying that Detroit is "now in Canada" for purposes of
prepaid, e.g. you pay the same rate. It then says that roaming throughout
the US can be as low as CN$0.25 a minute. I assumed that this was on top of
the standard per minute rate, but I didn't ask. The store was crowded and I
wasn't buying.
Looking at the Rogers website, I don't see this information, which makes me
question what I read, but I did read it.

Further, since ATT (USA)'s prepaids work in Canada, it made sense.(From ATT
USA's FAQ: "GoPhone will roam automatically within AT&T Wireless coverage
areas but will not roam internationally beyond the United States and
Canada").

Has anyone heard anything further on US prepaid roaming with Rogers or Fido?
I called Rogers this morning, and was told that US roaming is not available
with prepaid.

That's why I asked for a source, which wasn't supplied.

You may be confusing prepaid with the ability to "prepay" for US roaming
minutes. Actually, roaming can be as low as 0.22/minute if you get the
1440 minute add-on plan for 320 per month. But having to buy times in
blocks like this really sux.
