Well, it's February now. And I last posted a link to this in December.
So I guess it's that time again...

I got some input from the folks on HowardForums...
(I'm trying to post this roughly once a month. Frequently enough that
it'll get noticed by new folks but rarely enough that it isn't
annoying... :)

Oh, another note...
I can't remember why Smart (Philippines) is in the Conflicting Reports
section. I really don't remember ever seeing a report of it working.
If anyone has it working, let me know. Otherwise, I'm moving it to Not
Working. Thanks!

My brother is on Smart. We have no problem texting each other.
Well, actually, I have a little problem when replying to his texts.
Everytime I reply to his texts, I will have to delete the "TO:", which
contains the phonebook entry name of his phone number, and re-select
the same phonebook entry back. Why? Because his phone number comes as
0063920xxxxxxx. And although the phone number in the phonebook entry
is stored as +63920xxxxxxx, my phone still recognizes the former as
the same. If I do not replace the "TO:", the text won't get
transmitted.
I think this is the reason why there were some who claim that it
doesn't work and there were some who claim that it does work.
Steven, you might want to add a note next to the Smart entry on your
website and tell about this.
Cheers!

I think I was the person that originally reported some problems with
sending/receiving messages to Smart in the Philippines. At the time it was
not working very well. Since then it has improved a lot to the point where
sending and receiving messages is now pretty much instantaneous. I do
however have the same problem that was reported by another person when
replying. You cannot just use the number on the message and reply to it.
I just take out the two leading zeroes and add a plus.

Add Taiwan, ChungHwa Telecom to your list of working links. It is and
has been working perfectly for a number of years.
