"will allow" doesn't translate to "is building". Also, a demonstrator in
Montreal doesn't mean rollout throughout the montreal area, it could be as
simple as installing that network in their headquarters (which is Place
Bonaventure, a very large building) as a demo.
I am not sure they would be allowed to roll out a G3 network on a frequency
range other than what they currently have. And what they currently have
probably couldn't give you streaming video and multiple phone conversations.

Is UMTS really 3G? I don't think it falls under 3G ... more like 2.75 at
speeds of 100-150 kbps. Rogers is going forward with a rollout sometime
this year IIRC. In fact, I think they had a 'demonstration' rollout in
Vancouver, but I haven't been able to find anything on the topic other than
the original article.
