The ads on TV specify "anywhere in Canada". I strongly suspect that once
you're out of Canada, the Fido-to-Fido plan no longer applies and you'll be
billed normal roaming rates for both voice and SMS.

You will be off network (non Microcell network) so it's likely that
you'll pay whatever the tarriffed rate is. It's unlikely that the US
networks are going to give you a free ride,
Are you *sure* that you get free SMS if it's Fido-to-Fido? Usually
for mobile-to-mobile plans that's just for voice calls. I've never
heard of it applying to SMS text messaging.

Joseph
I see you are from Seattle
Having looked at plans in different parts of the world, I would say that
free mobile to mobile plans usually include Voice only in the US.
Other parts of the world free, free plans are rare, but where they
exist, more likely to include free text than free voice.

It does. I have 2 phones, one with Fido-Fido and the other with FidoPro,
and I've sent a message from one to the other and it came up as $0.00 on my
invoice. Also, it seems Fido<->ICQ with Fido-Fido is free too.
