Hi all,
If you have ever had one of these handsets and returned it for any
reason please beware that by removing your SIM card you are NOT
deleting your private call list.
The handset I was using was acting up and I requested a new
replacement. I was assured that I would receive a brand new handset.
When I received this "brand new handset" it turned out to be
refurbished and to my horror when I placed my SIM card into the set
and turned it on I found the previous owner's extensive private
telephone listings. Therefore, the memory is resident on the handset
and not on the SIM card. FIDO's negligence in not wiping out the
memory is appalling considering all the privacy issues.
Moral of the story... if you don't want someone else to get a hold of
your call list then make sure you wipe it out yourself.
Has anyone else had similar problems???

This is the case for most mart phones who have a couple of megabytes of
storage on the phone and make little use of the sim to store stuff.
So your emails, sms, bookmarks, username/password to access a pop server etc
are all stored in the phone and not on the sim card.
