I have just signed up for the fidodollars program and apparently, I have 90
fido dollars in my account.
If I wanted to get a new handset, what price would I pay?
For example, there's a Siemens S55 handset that is listed at $100 with
agreement, $450 without agreement, and $500 regular price.
Thanks,
Wyley

one would assume that you would pay $10 w/ agreement

God only knows what you would pay. Right now, you can't buy anything because
their systems aren't setup to cumulate your account balance.
Also, the staff do not know what price phones will be available for under this
programme. All I was told is that you could use the Fidodollars as partial
payment for phone and pay the balance with real money.
In theory, Fidodollars should eliminate the need for the new contracts since
customers will have paid their subsidy before getting a new phone. But my
guess is that Fido will spread contracts to as many customers as possible by
giving a huge artificial price difference for new phones depending on if
you're on contract or not.
