anyone know if I can use my cell I had with Bell and never renewed my
services for the last 2 years, but I need a phone now and don't want to buy
a new one. Anyone know if I can take my phone and get Fido to register it
with a new account or even pre paid.

Thanks

The bell phone is a CDMA phone. Fido uses the GSM world standard. However, the
Bell phone probably has an analogue mode in it.

You could subscribe to a monthly package with Fido, never use digital and
always "fall back" on analogue. You'd pay $0.20 per minute for every minute.
And if you are in Telus territory (BC/ALTA), you won't get any service in
cities where Fido has coverage.

You'll have to bring your phone to a Fido store that has a technician so that
they can program it to connect to you. You may have to buy a SIM card just so
that they can set up your account. You won't have access to any of the digital features.

No can do.  Bell uses different technology (CDMA) and Fido/Microcell
uses GSM.  Totally incompatible technologies.  You could probably get
prepaid with Bell though.
