Planning a Vancouver vacation, and would prefer to use an unlocked GPRS
data card I already have, for web connectivity.  Which GSM operators
(including virtuals reselling Microcell), provide GPRS data service for
short-term users?

I don't think that Microcell or any of its resellers provide a short-term data service.  On the chance that you have
VoiceStream/T-Mobil GPRS, do you realize that you can use the Microcell network for no extra fee?

Brenda, where shall I have a case of Canterbury shipped to?  EXACTLY what I
need to know.  Many thanks, 73s and extremely best regards!

IIRC, one of the Plains provinces had a Microcell reseller who would, but
my notes form last August's trip to the Worldcon are lost down the memory
hole.

Actually, that is not correct.

T-Mobile, according to their rep #2743493, charges US$10/MB, plus
US$0.49/min for local voice and US$0.69/min for calls back to the States.

If you can substantiate otherwise, I would be rather grateful.

Sorry, I should have been more specific.  Only the GPRS service can be
used on your VoiceStream plan with no extra charges.  This was the joint
announcement by Fido and VoiceStream when they introduced GPRS.  It is
still this way with Fido users in VS territory and I haven't heard of
any changes for VS users in Fidoland.  Of course they will charge you
roaming for voice services.

T-Mobile ain't Voicestream any more.
