Planning a Vancouver vacation, and would prefer to use an unlocked GPRS data card I already have, for web connectivity. I don't think that Microcell or any of its resellers provide a short-term data service. T-Mobile, according to their rep #2743493, charges US$10/MB, plus US$0.49/min for local voice and US$0.69/min for calls back to the States. Only the GPRS service can be used on your VoiceStream plan with no extra charges. This was the joint announcement by Fido and VoiceStream when they introduced GPRS. It is still this way with Fido users in VS territory and I haven't heard of any changes for VS users in Fidoland. Of course they will charge you roaming for voice services.
