Hi All

How often should I have to establish a GPRS connection if I just have my
Sony Ericson phone checking email every hour?  I am told I am always on line
but form my bill I see myself  being disconnected a lot.  I am in Australia
using Optus as my network.

Thanks

Andrew

I might be wrong about this, but I understand that the GPRS
session should stay active for the "GPRS linger time" as set on
the phone.  In addition, Optus might terminate the session after
some time (maybe 24 hours), should you reach that.

Clarification of this would be appreciated by me as well.

Looking at the page as listed here,  the price is scary,  no flagfall
though,  is this right? or am I missing something here. I thought that gprs
was 2.2 cents per kb or something like that.
