Anyone know if there are any 1900MHz operators in Isreal and Hong Kong?

HKG is GSM 900/1800.  I think GSM 1900 is a American/Mexican/Canadian
thing.

Neither country uses 1900 MHz.  Both have 1800-only and dual band
900/1800 networks.

In response to the individuals that said that there is no 1900mhz GSM in
Asia, here is the exception that probes the rule -- Thailand has 1900mhz
GSM.

Hong Kong and Israel used to have a TDMA 800 network.  I don't know what
that frequency is being used for.

In Israel the 800 mHz frequencies are still in use. Cell-Com operates a TDMA
network and Pelephone operates a legacy N-AMPS and CDMA network. Pele-Phone
kust spent a lot of money to upgrade to 3g.

Cellcom operates a TDMA 800 network in Israel to which they've
overlayed GSM 1800.

In Hong Kong, defintitely not. 1900Mhz is used only in North America
HK has GSM at 900 and 1800 Mhz only.

Not likely in Israel, I think they are 900mhz only. The don't need the
extra system capacity you get from 1800Mhz.

Not true.  Cellcom (aka IL02) operates an 1800 network in Israel and
have now for almost two years.

None at all in Israel.  Only 900 (Orange) and 1800 (Cellcom.)
