What difference will the merger make?  Will the combination improve the
lousy reception you get (in NYC, anyway) with both?

Well, you don't say what company you currently are on.

However, eventually all the cingular customers in the NYC market will be on the
AT&T WS sites.

AT&T WS has excellent service in the NY market as near as I can tell when I am
there. They are adding 8 to 10 NEW sites daily and adding equipment to another
8 to 10 sites daily. This is going on as I type 7 days a week.

I didn't have a problem in NY with either my TDMA phone or my GSM phone.
