Does anyone know of a brand of phone that is both GSM and satellite
available in the US? I know Qualcomm has a "tri-mode" phone that is Analog
cellular, digital cellular and satellite but I want one with GSM cellular.
Thanks!

AFAIK, there are no satellite phones in the US that work on both GSM and
satellite systems. All the GSM/Sat phones I know of are GSM-900. Also, which
US GSM carriers have roaming agreements with any satellite carriers? None,
that I know of. In fact, if you have one of those Globalstar CDMA/Sat
phones, you don't roam on either system. If you have a satellite account you
have to get a seperate cellular account and switch between the two. (Last
time I checked). How much sense does that make?
