Programming SIM cards may not be safe, but, if you plan to develop your own
phonemanagement application, we can offer two components:

1) Oxygen Mobile ActiveX Control - allows to work with SMS messages, Nokia
phone gallery and JAVA

http://www.smsactivex.com/ Mobile ActiveX Control also supports Call
Register data synchronization.

2) TOxygen SMS Component:

http://www.oxygensoftware.com/products/tsms/index.shtml

Component for Borland Delphi and C++ Builder for SMS-based development for
Nokia phones.

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum

Dear Wizche, you are entering in a complex world, so e patient.

standard smartcards communicate with the external world using APDUs.
This process is specified in the ISO 7816-3 & 4.
If you are working on GSM, the you should also have a look on GSM 11.11.
