I'm fairly happy with Verizon, but I HATE to have to go into their
stores. Rude, lack knowlege and poor customer service. Tmobile is
the opposite in that regard for me.
I once owne both a Tmo and Verizon phone at the same time. Both
phones had good reception everywhere I went.
I will NOT return to ATT EVER unless they bend over and kiss my back
side. I was a customer of theirs for many years with many phones on
one account. When I went to make a change on the account, after many
years, they told me they showed I owed them some money form like seven
years prior and three cell companies ago. When I explained to them
that this was NOT possible they didn't care and gave me the run
around. I'm fuzzy on the details, but in the end I was proven right
when they removed the overdue account from my name after a few months.
Too late for them, I'd already switched.
I also found that ATT never had a great selection of phones.
All of this may be mute as I did a search on phonescoop phone finder
and few of the phones met my needs.

From what I have found in the US (I visit there regularly from Australia),
not any one supplier has a great selection of phones compared to the rest
of the world, unfortunately.

Company owned stores? Independent dealers? Kiosks in malls?

Cingular now owns the AT&T Wireless name, so you wouldn't be dealing
with AT&T.

I did forget to mention that I did have a great plan with ATTWS. I
had one of the foundation accounts. I just couldn't allow them to
treat me like crap though.
