I will be traveling to Buenos Aires next month and am trying to determine
the most economic solution for cellular service. Will my Nokia world phone
work down there with a prepaid chip? Thanks for any advice.

The GSM bands used here are 850 and 1900 MHz. In the case that your
phone supports them (and has no simlock), I suggest you to buy a SIM
card in Buenos Aires once you arrive. It's less than 10 USD and will
allow you to avoid roaming costs.

Alternatively, you can buy cheap gsm phones in major markets starting
from around USD 50.
