Are there EDGE slot classes?

With GPRS you have different defined "slot class" devices (e.g. 6, 10, 12,
etc). Are there similar classes with EDGE? If so, I have not seen them
described anywhere.

There seems to be a couple of versions of EDGE: packet-switched
and circuit-switched.  See
http://www.ericsson.com/products/white_papers_pdf/edge_wp_technical.pdf

It would seem to be the packet-switched version (EGPRS) that's
up and running on some existing GSM networks.  And that appears
to utilize slot classes.  Try a google search for "EGPRS
multislot class".
