How is GSM dial-up billed on T-Mobile's network? Is it just like voice?
My primary interest is in whether I'm going to get a nasty surprise if I
use it indiscriminately during my free nights and weekends.

Which T-Mobile network? They have networks around the globe, you
know, and each with a multitude of different tariff plans.
How about asking the hotline?

i assume you mean csd dial up then yes. it gets deducted from your
minutes during peak and unlimited nights and weekends. i used it alot
until they came out with unlimited data.

Huh? It does..?
I dial up my ISP quite often using my free weekends/evenings and all these calls are
included in the bucket of free weekend/off peak minutes...
