Hi,

I shall be glad if anyone could kindly recommend a GSM flip color display phone (for T-Mobile) that
has these characteristics:

1. A loud ringtone!
2. A display that will not wash out outdoors
3. Unlocked, preferably tri-band.
4. Don't mind if used, preferably below (well below better) a hundred smackers.

I need to replace a Siemens CF62T phone which, while being a feat of German engineering, fails very
badly on the first two counts above! It can hardly be heard when it rings and the display seems to
"vanish" as soon as one steps outdoors. Besides it has a terrible battery life (talk-time).

I am selling the Siemens off shortly - maybe on eBay where I got it from.

Regards and thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

Reading my own post it seemed as if I was beating on the CF62T ! Actually I was not.

It is a very nice piece and delivers excellent clarity, signal strength where is mostly used and
has a real cool appearance and other features.

It is just that a few important calls were missed - while being used outdoors.

Regards and thanks in anticipation.

Get a phone with monophonic tones.  Polyphonic tones often cannot be
heard.

>2. A display that will not wash out outdoors

Get a monochrome display.  Color displays tend to wash out when
outside in bright light.

Sometimes lower tech works much better.

That seems to make sense. Thanks for the response. I will keep those factors in mind in selecting a
replacement phone.

Regards.
