That's what I am currently using. The only problem is that it doesn't give
me the ability to select networks, send and receive SMS messages, etc.,
which most wireless modem managers support.

Microsoft SMS Sender will send messages.
Selecting networks only works if operator allows that. Cingular doesn't.

Most GSM phones will let you manually select the network. Whether or not
you are an authorized user on the network you select is a separate matter.
I just downloaded MS SMS Sender. This looks like a nice little app. Now I
just need another little utility that lets me manually select my GSM
network, and I'll be in business.
