I am trying to figure out a way to allow employees to send text
messages and have those messages appear on TV's throughout the
facility.
The route I am following involves converting those text messages to
e-mails, creating a script that retrieves those text messages and puts
them in a database on a single PC. Another script then takes the
entries in that database, and exports those text messages through the
s-video port on the PC, cycling through each database entry every 5
seconds or so.
PLEASE tell me there is an easier way to achieve this, whether it be a
completely different approach or just a simple piece of software.
Thanks,
JEFF

What's the goal for the intended audience?

What I assume you mean is what is the point of this, and although I
used the example of employees using this at an office, it will actually
be used for live show production...giving audience members the
opportunity to give shoutouts to their friends on Jumbotrons in the
theater.
