Does anyone know of a website that generates unlock codes for the Sony
Ericsson K3001 please ??

Unless you contact O2 directly you'll need a hardware unlock mate

Yup, unless you contact o2 and get the unlock code from them.

One other option is to buy a cable and an unlock code from other
suppliers of course.....

No, Nokias are generally different

Most other makes/models require hardware solutions, unless you contact the
network operator.

There is no unlock code calculator available for SE handsets.  One was being
worked on some time ago, but was never released into general circulation.
As Aaron said, you'll need a hardware based unlock or you could pay the
service provider for the unlock code.
