Is it possible to download and install ringtones from sites other than
Cingular without having to subscribe to Cingular's MediaNet service? I
tried ordering ringtones from Cingular and they insist I must first
subscribe to MediaNet before I can download their product. I don't
really need MediaNet because I just have a plain Jane LG F9100 texting
phone, and it doesn't even have a camera. I only chose it because of
the QWERTY keyboard.

Yes.  You'll then be charged Pay-As-You-Go data.  Be warned that the rate is
high, so it can get expensive quickly.
