Use of SIM outside the country...

Hi,

I wish to know about the scenario. If we use a SIM (say MTN, South
Africa) outside the country (say in Asia or Europe). What will happen?

Do we get SIM registration Failure Message? or
Will Mobile System show searching mode (searching before camping)?

or
Some thing else?

It depends on whether the South African account has international roaming
active, and whether that company has a roaming agreement with the local
carrier in Asia or Europe.

With MTN you need to activate roaming while in South Africa. If MTN lets you
roam in Asia or Europe europe then take meybe 1 mintue or more to log onto a
local network

If you dont have roaming activated then you get SIM registration Failure as
far as i know.
