Hello all,

We are looking for some beta testers for a new PC to phone messaging
application.

The requirements are:

   1. Multimedia/MMS/picture messaging account with your local
provider
   2. Windows XP/Windows 2000
   3. Tethered phone via USB/BlueTooth/InfraRed or GPRS modem or GPRS
aircard

We will reimburse you for all your MMS messages sent (payments made via
PayPal).

If you would like to participate in this program, please contact us at
our website via the contact form at http://www.businesms.com

Only serious testers should apply. Note that we will require a contact
phone number so that we can follow up and discuss the program with you
in further detail.

We are experiencing strong interest in a number of countries, so if you
are truly interested please contact us as soon as possible - we will
only be accepting a very small number of entries.

Thanks for listening,

David Harrington.

Hi Evan,

We're not quite sure what we've done to upset you - we're trying to
legitimately use Google Groups as a way of getting to some tech savvy
mobile users. You can look at our website at http://www.businesms.com.
Asking for a phone number was an attempt to filter legitimate interest
but you seem to have really taken offense, and we apologize for this.
We've had some great feedback so far from some US readers so we feel
that we're not totally off the mark, although after reading some other
posts on these forums we can see why asking for a phone number wasn't
the best approach.

Regards,

David Harrington.

You aren't using Google Groups in the sense you think you are. You are
using Google Groups to spam usenet.

No way I'd give you any legitimate information.

How do you spell SKETCHY?

I've worked with Jonathan Zufi for 6 years and have used his tools in
building MMS campaigns. I suppose I understand your skepticism, but I
also assure you that his company is legitimate.

They just were in Las Vegas and had a booth. Check the link here:

http://www.ctiawireless.com/general/exhibitor_list.cfm

And if you are still unsure if Jonathan Zufi is a legitimate person,
call his mobile or email me and I'll happily speak with you. I work for
the interactive agency of record for one of the Big 3 auto
manufacturers.

I hope that clears things up a little...

Assuming you aren't a sock puppet...

Jon called me a few times (haven't been able to answer, but I've seen
the Caller ID a few times). First off, e-mail would be fine, although
I'd probably ignore it.

Calling me on a cell phone is just rude. He started out saying "A
friend of myne told me you had some issues with my google groups
posting..."

Please educate your friend that he is in a way posting to Google
Groups, but he's essentially posting to USENET.

And a good majority of people auto-block google groups posts because
of this ignorance (and other issues). I may begin to do so too.
