Considering all the technical issues required to offer PTT service, I
don't think we'll ever see PTT provided by a "third" party (whomever
that is). A PTT-capable handset without PTT service from the chosen
carrier is a handset with a useless feature. I think we've all heard
rumors of Cingular's efforts for a PTT service, but nothing has yet
arrived on their public network AFAIK.
