I like that it has a long boom mic that get's it close to the mouth.

To make it easier for people to link it

I have no idea, but why do you need it so close to your mouth?  (it is
corded too, rather than Bluetooth).  Microphones do not need to be that
close, the small Bluetooth one's work perfectly fine.  In fact being too
close can distort audio and you will also hear the person breathing.

When the mic is far away (as in the small ones), noise canceling can't
be done properly, as it can when the mic is close and properly designed.

Works fine when properly designed.

In my experience, my voice is much clearer and louder with a mic close
to my mouth rather than far away. I've done tests with the earpiece
Bluetooth headsets, the little earbud wired headsets with inline mic,
and with full boom headsets like the one pictured and by far the one
wired one with the boom sounded the best.

Very hard to see enough to ID it, unless you have that model and can
recognize it. But, here are a few that have the longer boom you desire.

Plantronics M220  JABRA C350  Also keep in mind that the vast majority of
2.5mm plugged Corded Office/ Home Phone Headsets will work on a Cellphone
and they usually have a longer boom. Check around
