I recently puchased what looks to be a fairly generic sim card reader
that looks like the model for sale here
http://www.meritline.com/usb-sim-card-reader.html. It didn't come with
any drivers so I'm unable to get it working with the software that I
have.

Could anyone point me towards the drivers for this device?

I am in same position as you and you may have luck with the following.
Try this link and look at Jowahs post:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=866950.

The PL-2303 driver can be found and is the first one at:
http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31

I have loaded the driver but don't know how to direct the hardware
wizard to the driver location as recommended (can't find driver
location), but if you have more luck, let me know. In meantime I shall
try to get on to the usergroup. Thanks
