"The government also wants an early decision on the 3G issues as the
defence forces are gearing up to release about 45 MHz of spectrum meant
for 3G services by December."

I read that 4 GSM operators have also started doing 3G related testing
for 1 month.

*   So are 3G services starting in early next year ?

*   Why CDMA lobby has problems in IMT-2000 ? They are persistent to
get PCS (1900).
*   Who are the major vendors efficiently able to do 3G ?
*   Do operators give their networks on small areas basis to differnet
vendors or all operations to just one vendor ?

3G has been up and running for some years now, in many countries.

Are you refering to any specific country?

Hey BG
Sorry, I forgot to mention country name in previous post. Its for
India. The decision for allocation of spectrum is much awaited, and
everyone - operators, vendors want to make maximum use of this
opportunity.

The question is whether they will use the same 3G spectrum other's are
using or will they go off on their own?
