This new phone comming out, i'm not sure its going to be released in the
US... if its not, could i buy an unlocked one and us it in the US with a SIM
card?  What about the battery/charger?  Would the voltage be an issue?

I don't know about the SIM end but for the charger they are made to handle
from 110-240 volts input... you will have to buy a plug adaptor so you can
plug it into an american socket (about 5 bucks from radio shack...)
