I have a question about using pre-paid mobile phone service in Europe.

Can you recommend or know where I can purchase a pre-paid SIM online
that I can use through out Europe that is inexpensive?

I have a world phone and international service through TMOBILE, but
would like a Europe phone number while I am there.

I need to be able to recieve and call other countries.

This is the best deal I could find.

Thanks,

There is no such thing as a "Europe phone number", as each country
has its own numbers.

I agree.  Morover, it is usually cheaper to roam with FIDO than with a
European prepaid SIM. (e.g. to use an Austrian SIM in Italy or a FIDO SIM in
Italy).
Further, in most cases, giving a phone number in a mobile phone number
neighboring country is more exepnsive to the caller than giving a Canadian
SIM number to the European because of the caller pays model.  In sum
countries, this is even true with domestic calls.  It is cheaper to call a
Canadian mobile than a UK mobile for a UK caller.

Inexpensive is the hard part.  Many European prepaids allow you to
roam, but it's not cheap.  Swisscom easy roam would do what you want,
but it's not cheap and it's slated to end service at the end of
November 2003.  Be sure to weigh the cost of prepaids along with how
long you're going to be in each country.  If you're in a country for
more than a few days it'd probably be more cost efficient to buy
prepaids in each country.  Cost of prepaids will run 20 - 30 Euros and
often comes with a small amount of credit if you register the
accounts.
