Hi,
I'm developing a location based app. From the network I get the geographic
(lat & long) position of the user. But to make it more flashy (I hate demos)
I would like to present a map.
Is there a free service on the Internet (e.g. a website or a webService)
where, from a geographic position, I can get a piece of map? Or the name of
the nearest street, etc?
Thank you in advance.

Not free but... standard app...
Microsoft Streets & trips. I am working with GPS positionning over GPRS..
the last thing you want to take care of is the maping software.
So, leave it to the big guy... it is really afordable for anyone and
standard.
(Could be copied but.... those words don't come from me!)
