I didn't even know they did one. Something tells me it certainly wouldn't
give you proper file access, just something to manage stuff in the folders
the phone already lets you see (images, video's etc) most of the 3rd party
apps show you the complete file listing, even though the phone can't read /
display half the files that are there.

I have FileExplorer, I think its available for free from
www.gosymbian.com
I couldn't find the proper logo file, probably because I don't know
what to look for.
Does anyone have an idea which file it is?

Try the Nokia folder, on the Z drive. there there is an images folder with
all the preinstalled images I had with UK Vodafone.

Try Restoring factory settings, this should reset the default wallpaper.
