Wondering how available Pre-Paid SIM cards are in Nicaragua...

Where they can be purchased and how readily available they are.

Will be flying into Managua and was wondering if they were available in
the airport?

TIA

Yes, I have visited GSM world and found the same info.

What I need to know is how available these SIM cards are.

For example, in the US you have to go to company stores and hunt them
down.

In Hong Kong, you can purchase pre-paid SIMs pretty much anywhere, even
a 7-11.

That's the info I'm asking the group for...

You know, there's a website dedicated just to prepaid GSM.
(www.prepaidgsm.net). I could find no mention of Nicaragua on their site,
which only means that they have received no information on the subject.

However, when you look on Enitel's website (www.enitelmovil.com.ni), they
list two prepaid plans (Club & Fiesta) and a distributor (Punto Celular) at
the aueroporto. So, I'd sure take a look around when I get to the airport.

We'll check that website :-) Thanks a lot!

The other GSM carrier, Sercom, also has prepaids and also lists a
distributor at the airport (Correos de Nicaragua). So, it looks (from here)
as if he gets his choice on arrival.
