I see Sony Ericcson T610 phones on ebay both locked and unlocked selling for
over $200.
On Amazon you can get the phone, a free Jabra Bluetooth wireless headset and
$200 in rebates, for a net cost of -$100. Of course you have to get a
contract so the minimum is $19 a month.
So The Amazon deal gives you the phone plus one years minimum service plus a
free wireless headset for $99 - $200 + $240 = $140.
So why would I buy the same phone on ebay for over $200 with no service.
Confused.

Because not every once can pass the credit check for the contract.

Millions of people that already have service might want to buy a new phone.

Yes, you are missing something. You need to be on the $39.99 plan or higher
to get the $100 rebate from T-Mobile. The other $100 is from Amazon.com,
and I don't believe there's a minimum plan requirement for that.

I agree. I'd never buy a cellphone on eBay. If the phone you want is
available from T-Mobile, it's almost always cheaper.
