can anyone tell me where to get hold of imei changing software for the
samsung a800. or is there any other way of changing the imei on this
phone. (supposedly you can change the imei on the t100 by just
entering in a code)

The IMEI number (and an ESN number in a NON-GSM phone) is hard coded into the
phone. You cannot change it (legally). There are no phones that allow changing
the IMEI code from the handset.
